MERITA REXHA TERSHANA është një nga pianistet më aktive të skenës muzikore shqiptare. Ajo përfundoi studimet e larta në klasën e prof. Margarita Kristidhi në Akademinë e Arteve në Tiranë dhe më pas ka ndjekur disa kurse pasuniversitare në Gjermani me profesorë të njohur si Paul Badura-Skoda dhe Till Engel. Ka performuar si soliste me orkestrat e Radio Televizionit Shqiptar, Teatrit të Operës e Baletit, Filarmoninë e Tiranës dhe Kosovës. Është ftuar në festivale prestigjioze si soliste dhe në asamble të muzikës së dhomës, si në Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival në Gjermani dhe Bregenz Festspiel në Austri. Është e ftuar prej shumë vitesh në festivalet më prestigjioze të rajonit si në Festivalin ReMusica në Kosovë, Ohrid Summer Festival, Pianodrom, Festivalin ndërkombëtar të muzikës së dhomës si dhe në Different Trains Festival dhe Ballkan contemporary music festival. Ka interpretuar në vende të ndryshme si Gjermani, Austri, Japoni, Danimarkë, Zvicër, Itali, Greqi, Maqedoni Veriore. Ka bashkëpunuar me instrumentistë të njohur si Klaidi Sahatçi, Ermir Abeshi, Areta Zhulla, Thomas Leleu. Në vitin 2009 ka regjistruar një CD me vepra të Schumann-it. Në Shqipëri është fituese e shumë çmimeve, ndër to fituese e dyfishtë e çmimit Kult si interpretuesja më e mirë e vitit. Punon në Universitetin e Arteve në Tiranë dhe si pedagoge në Katedrën e Pianos. Mbanë titullin e Profesorit të Asociuar prej vitit 2007 dhe aktualisht është Zevendes Dekane e Fakultetit te Muzikës dhe Drejtuese e Katedrës së pianos.

MERITA REXHA TERSHANA is one of the most active pianists of the Albanian music scene. She completed her studies in the class of prof. Margarita Kristidhi at the Academy of Arts in Tirana and attended several postgraduate courses in Germany with well-known professors such as Paul Badura-Skoda and Till Engel. She performed as a soloist with several orchestras, such as Albanian Radio Television Orchestra, the Ballet Opera Theatre, the Tirana as well as Kosovo philharmonics. She was invited to perform at prestigious festivals as a soloist and well as with chamber music ensembles, such as the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival in Germany and the Bregenz Festspiel in Austria. She participated for many years at the most prestigious festivals in the region, such as the ReMusica Festival in Kosovo, the Ohrid Summer Festival, the Pianodrom, the International Chamber Music Festival, as well as the Different Trains Festival and the Balkan Contemporary Music Festival. He has performed in Germany, Austria, Japan, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, North Macedonia. Merita collaborated with well-known performers such as Klaidi Sahatçi, Ermir Abeshi, Areta Zhulla, Thomas Leleu. In 2009 she recorded a CD with works by Schumann. In Albania she is the winner of many awards, among them a double winner of the Cult Award as the best performer of the year. She works at the University of Arts in Tirana and as a lecturer in the Piano Department. He holds the title of Associate Professor since 2007 and is currently Vice Dean of the Faculty of Music and the Director of the Piano Department.
