Mehmet Can Özer
Born in 1981, Özer studied composition and music technologies in Ankara, Geneva, Zürich and Berlin. Throughout his career he has released six solo albums and has participated to seven compilations. Many of his instrumental and electroacoustics works are performed in international festivals and concerts. Among many noticeable awards, Özer has won the Bourges International Composition Competition (2003 and 2007), SWR Experimentalstudio (2008) and Edgar Varese Guest Professorship (2021). Currently, he is a professor of composition and music technologies in Yasar University, İzmir.
