German Performance & Sound Artist  Holger Maik Mertin invites you to an utopian space at a 3 hours unplugged performance installation.

The Performance “The Transforming Space” transforms the space of Termokiss in an instrument. German Performance & Sound Artist Holger Maik Mertin eschews the use of “normal” instruments. Instead the architecture and the acoustics of the Termokiss building becomes the instrument.
In this 3 hours long performance Mertin navigates stylistically between the areas of the unplugged sound and performance art, contemporary dance and music performance. Various spaces and areas become independent sub instruments, namely the floor, window surfaces, walls, the vibrating air and also objects found in the room such as furniture while the “normal” music instruments will be consciously avoided. Through this, Mertin will transverse the space and will play with the musical space as well as the “dance space”.

The Transforming Space offers a platform for the engagement and search for sustainable formats for the arts- after all, what is more sustainable than using the immediate and surrounding space as resource and instrument.

Performansa “The Transforming Space” (Hapësira transformuese) transformon hapësirën e Termokiss në një instrument. Artisti gjerman i Performancës dhe Zërit Holger Maik Mertin i shmanget përdorimit të instrumenteve “normale”. Në vend të kësaj arkitektura dhe akustika e ndërtesës së Termokiss bëhet instrument.

Në këtë shfaqje 3 orëshe, Mertin lundron në mënyrë stilistike mes fushave të artit të tingullor ”unplugged”dhe performancës, vallëzimit bashkëkohor dhe performancës muzikore. Hapësira dhe zona të ndryshme bëhen nën instrumente të pavarura, përkatësisht dyshemeja, sipërfaqet e dritareve, muret, ajri vibrues dhe gjithashtu objektet që gjenden në dhomë siç janë mobiljet, ndërsa instrumentet muzikore “normale” do të shmangen me vetëdije. Me anë të kësaj, Mertin do të përshkojë hapësirën dhe do të luajë me hapësirën muzikore si dhe “hapësirën e vallëzimit”.

The Transforming Space ofron një platformë për angazhim dhe kërkim të formateve të qëndrueshme për artet- në fund të fundit, çfarë është më e qëndrueshme sesa përdorimi i hapësirës që na rrethon si burim dhe instrument.
