Donika Rudi (1982) is a Kosovar composer specialized in acousmatic, electroacoustic music. Since 2010 she is a member of FEBEME – BEFEM (Fédération belge de musique électroacoustique) and a member of CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Community). She is the Artistic Director of ReMusica Festival in Kosovo, since 2010 and associate artist at IN SITU – European Platform for artistic creation in public space, led by Lieux publics (2020-2024)
Rudi studied music composition (instrumental and electroacoustic) at the Geneva Conservatory. She holds an MA from the Royal Conservatorium of Mons, Belgium, in acousmatic music composition, with Annette Vande Gorne. Her most important works are: Contemporary Ballet “Life in Slow Motion”, premiered at the National Theatre in Prishtina; “Ode to Life” acousmatic piece / sound installation, supported by IN SITU platform, in the frame of the ACT project, co- funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union “The echoes of the Crying Earth” acousmatic piece; “Emotion Machine” acousmatic piece; “Unspoken” acousmatic piece; “9” for amplified trombone & tape; “Emotion Machine I and II”, supported by Federation Wallonie Bruxelle; “Aura I” for violin, viola, mezzosoprano, soprano, percussions & electronics; “etc.
She also composed music for numerous drama plays and films, documentaries and shorts. In the Name of the Father documentary-dance piece directed by Darrel Toulon, SARABANDE documentary directed by Kaltrina Krasniqi, INSANE – participative and immersive project mixing installations, soundscapes and performances, directed by Zineb Benzekri, just to name a few.
Her works have been performed in France, Columbia, Switzerland, Portugal, Kosovo, Albania, Italy, Australia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Canada, Spain, Belgium etc., and were aired on Radio Spain – UNDÆ! Radio, France Musique (at Christian Zanési radioshow), Dutch National Radio (Café Sonore), “Sonema Lab”, Portugese National Radio (Arte Eletroacústica).

Donika Rudi (1982) është kompozitore kosovare e specializuar në muzikë akusmatike eelektroakustike. Që nga viti 2010 ajo është anëtare e FEBEME – BEFEM (Shoqata e Kompozitorëve Belgë për Muzikë Elektroakustike) dhe anëtare e CEC (Komuniteti Kanadez Elektroakustik). Poashtu, nga viti 2010 ajo është Drejtoreshë e Festivalit ReMusica në Kosovë. Donikajo është artiste e asociuar për vitet 2020 – 2024 në kuadër të IN SITU – Platforma Evropiane për krijimin artistik në hapësirën publike, udhëhequr nga publiku i Lieux në Francë.
Rudi studioi kompozimin (muzikë instrumentale dhe elektroakustike) në Konservatorin e Muzikës në Gjenevë, Zvicër, dhe ka magjistruarnë Royal Conservatorium of Mons, Belgjikë, përkatësisht kompozimin në muzikë akusmatike, me kompozitoren e çmuar, Annette Vande Gorne.
Disa nga veprat e saja më të rëndësishme janë: baleti bashkëkohor “Life in Slow Motion”, dhënë premierë në Teatrin Kombëtar në Prishtinë; veprat akusmatike “Emotion Machine “ mbështetur nga Wallonie Bruxelles;, “Unspoken”, “The Echoes of the Crying Earth” , “Ode to Life” akusmatike / instalacion tingullor, mbështetur nga platforma IN SITU, në kuadër të projektit ACT, bashkëfinancuar nga Programi Creative Europe i Bashkimit Europian ; veprat elektroakustike: “9” për trombon dhe elektronikë; “Aura I” për violinë, violë, mezosoprano, soprano, perkusion dhe elektronikëetj.
Ajo gjithashtu kompozoi muzikë për drama, dokumentarë dhe filma të shkurtër, si: “In the name of the Father” shfaqje dokumentare dhe vallëzim me regji të Darrel Toulon, që u shfaq në Sartr – Sarajevo War Theatre në tetor 2019; Srebrenicë, tetor 2019, në Osijek Peace Awards 2020; dokumentari SARABANDE me regji të Kaltrina Krasniqit; INSANE, project multivizual me regji të Zineb Benzekri etj..
Kompozimet e saj janë interpretuar në Francë, Kolumbi, Zvicër, Portugali, Kosovë, Shqipëri, Itali, Australi, Bullgari, Serbi, Kanada, Spanjë, Belgjikë etj, ndërsa janë transmetuar në:Radio Spain – Radio Spanjë – UNDÆ! Radio, France Musique (në radioshow Christian Zanési), Dutch National Radio Radio Kombëtare Holandeze “Sonema Lab”, National Portuguese Radio , Radio Kombëtare Portugeze (Arte Eletroacústica).
