Ilir Bajri është kompozitor që vokacion kryesor ka jazz muzikën. Si jazz pianist është prezentuar me sukses në Itali, Spanjë, SHBA ( Chicago , New York , Lynchburg ). Themelues dhe udhëheqes i jazz formacioneve në vitet 1990a (Classic Jazz Trio, Quasi Fusion Band, Ilir Bajri Quartet). Shkruan me sukses muzikë për teatër dhe film. Është sprovuar me sukses në fushën e muzikës ektroakustike ( “Vijëzimi” 1995, “Përtej“ 1997 dhe “I-Turn-U 2001). Iliri është një prej themeluesve te Qendrës për Muzikën e Re në Prishtinë dhe udhëhoqi ansamblin eksperimental të kësaj qendreje i përbërë nga muzicientë të rinj. Më 2005 themelon ansamblin “Quasi Fusion Orchestra” të përbërë kryesisht nga studentë të muzikës duke koncertuar rregullisht ne festivalet dhe ngjarjet e rendesishme muzikore ne Kosovë. Themeloi dhe udhëhoqi per 10 vite me rradhë Prishtina Jazz Festival (2005-2014). Ne sferën e filmit dhe video produksionit ka një eksperience të konsiderueshme me realizimet e projekteve qe datojnë qysh nga vitet 1990a. Iliri themeloi studion e dalluar për video dhe 3D produksion “Virtual Studio” në të cilën u realizuan shumë nga video projektet e artistëve vizuel kosovar gjatë viteve 2000-2010. Është themelues dhe inovator i ORCHESTOOLS opensource instrumenteve virtuale (2017-2021).

Punëtoria është organizuar në partneritet me Fakultetin e Arteve, Departamentin e Muzikës të Universitetit të Prishtinës “Hasan Prishtina”

Ilir Bajri is a composer whose main vocation is jazz music. As a jazz pianist he had successful presentations in Italy, Spain, USA (Chicago, New York, Lynchburg). He is the founder and the leader of jazz formations in the 1990s (Classic Jazz Trio, Quasi Fusion Band, Ilir Bajri Quartet). He successfully writes music for theatre and film. He has been successfully challenged in the field of electroacoustic music (“Line” 1995, “Beyond” 1997 and “I-Turn-U 2001”). Iliri is one of the founders of the Center for New Music in Prishtina and led the experimental ensemble of this centre composed of young musicians. In 2005 he founded the ensemble “Quasi Fusion Orchestra” consisting mainly of music students, regularly performing at festivals and important music events in Kosovo. He further founded and led for ten consecutive years the Prishtina Jazz Festival (2005-2014). In the field of film and video production he has considerable experience with the realization of projects dating back to the 1990s. Iliri founded a distinguished studio for video and 3D production “Virtual Studio” in which many of the video projects of Kosovar visual artists were realized during the years 2000-2010. He is the founder and innovator of ORCHESTOOLS opensource virtual instruments (2017-2021).
